Raymond Hull

Raymond Hull ( born February 27, 1919 in Shaftesbury, England; † June 6, 1985 in Vancouver, Canada ) was a British- Canadian writer.

Hull was employed in the public service before he immigrated from England in 1947 to Vancouver, Canada. Since 1949, he trained for eight years in various writing courses, which he financed through low-paying odd jobs. In the late 1950s he began writing television dramas, which he sold to the American broadcaster CBS, as well as pieces that he brought to various stages.

In addition, he led writing courses and since the end of the 1960s, published non-fiction, with which he was among the first authors of guidebooks for life coaching. Among his most important works is the collaboration with Laurence J. Peter wrote book The Peter Principle (1970 ) (Engl. The Peter Principle ) drawing up the provocative thesis in classical hierarchies each climb up in the rank to where he eventually overwhelmed be. His second best-selling How To Get What You Want (1969 ) (Engl. Everything is within ) should help the reader to advance by clearly defining its objectives, positive auto-suggestion and implementation of concrete small steps his own self- folding.

Hull died in 1985 in Vancouver.
