Raymond Joseph Gallagher

Raymond Joseph Gallagher ( born November 19, 1912 in Cleveland, Ohio, USA; † 7 March 1991) was Bishop of Lafayette in Indiana.

Life

Raymond Joseph Gallagher received on 25 March 1939, the sacrament of Holy Orders.

On June 21, 1965 Pope Paul VI appointed him. Bishop of Lafayette in Indiana. The Apostolic Delegate in the United States, Archbishop Egidio Vagnozzi, donated to him on 11 August of the same year the episcopal ordination; Co-consecrators were the Coadjutor Bishop of Wichita, Leo Christopher Byrne, and the Coadjutor Bishop of Cleveland, Clarence George Issenmann.

On October 26, 1982 Raymond Joseph Gallagher resigned as Bishop of Lafayette back in Indiana.
