Raymond Sawada

Raymond Masao "Ray" Sawada (born 19 February 1985 in Richmond, British Columbia) is a Canadian professional ice hockey player standing since 2008 with the Dallas Stars in the National Hockey League under contract on their farm team, the Texas Stars in the American Hockey League.

Career

Ray Sawada began his career as a hockey player with the Nanaimo Clippers, where he was active in the 2003/04 season in the British Columbia Hockey League. He was then selected in the NHL Entry Draft in 2004 in the second round than a total of 52 players from the Dallas Stars. He then played four years for the team of Cornell University, before the Canadians towards the end of the 2007/08 season for the Iowa Stars, the farm team of the Dallas Stars of the American Hockey League, playing for the first time.

In the following season Sawada was on 19 February 2009 at the home game against the Edmonton Oilers made ​​his debut in the National Hockey League, completed the majority of the season but with the Manitoba Moose of the AHL.
