RBC-Stadion

The RBC Stadium is a football stadium in the Dutch city of Roosendaal, North Brabant province. The construction was completed in 2000 to 2011 hosted the home matches of RBC Roosendaal and replaced the Stade De Luiten.

History

The Roosendaaler stadium was built in the industrial area Borchwerf behind the Roosendaal train station. The opening was celebrated on November 5, 2000 with the RBC Roosendaal game against Fortuna Sittard, which ended with a 3-1 victory for the home side. At this time was the venue Vast & Goed Stadion. In August 2005, it was named the RBC Arena and from the 2007/ 08 season changed the name to Rosada Stadium after the company Rosada Factory Outlet. From the season 2009/10, it was called the Mariflex Stadium. Due to the insolvency of the RBC Roosendaal 2011, the sponsors treaty which resolved over the naming rights for the stadium and got back its old name RBC Stadium.

The stadium offers on its four roofed grandstands seating 4,995. The floodlight system is based on four vertically upstanding tubular steel poles in the stadium corners. The facilities of the stadium include the function rooms for conferences, presentations and celebrations. From almost every room you have insight on the game field. Furthermore, the system has, inter alia, a lounge and a brasserie called Le Royal.

In autumn 2005, the Dutch football association KNVB imposed a fine against RBC Roosendaal, as the floodlights failed to pay the prescribed output of 800 lux. The club was preparing in and let place on the roof, additional headlights. During a storm in 2006, these headlights were blown off the roof and damaged the stands. In the meantime the system has been modified and improved.
