RC Cola

RC Cola ( Royal Crown Cola also ) is a cola brand, which was developed in Columbus, Georgia in 1905 by the pharmacist Claude A. Hatcher. It belongs to the Dr Pepper Snapple Group, which was spun off from Cadbury Schweppes in 2008.

History

Hatcher has developed a range of beverages, which he sold under the name of Royal Crown for the grocery store his family. He called His first Chero Cola brand cola. He also sold under other Royal Crown Royal Crown Ginger Ale and Root Beer.

Due to the good sales Hatcher founded his company Chero -Cola Co., which he sixteen years later, renamed after him, also developed by number of fruit drinks, in Nehi Corporation. 1933 Hatcher died, after which his then deputy HR Mott took over the company. This would improve the Chero -Cola, so he commissioned the chemist Rufas comb to give a new taste of cola. After six months of development, this new cola was published under the name of the original drinks series Hatcher, Royal Crown. 1940, to buy the company's products already in 47 states ( by then 48) of the United States. Due to the success of Royal Crown Cola, the company was renamed again, this time at Royal Crown Cola Co. in 1954 produced the first Royal Crown soda cans. In 2000, RC Cola was sold to Cadbury Schweppes plc, today it is one of Dr Pepper Snapple Group, which was spun off from Cadbury Schweppes in 2008.

Products
