Rød pølse

It is a thin, with food coloring (eg Carmine ) bright red colored boiled sausage made of finely gekuttertem pork in the intestine, similar to those known in Germany wieners or frankfurters. Because the dye cochineal red A, which is suspected to cause allergies, trade in colored therewith sausages was at times not allowed in Norway and Sweden. Similar sausages are now widespread in Sweden ( röd or dansk pölse ) and Norway far.
