History

Members

The band formed in Oregon, before moving to Austin in January 1997. The front men were from the beginning the brothers Willy and Cody Braun, who had previously played with her father in the band Muzzie Braun & the Boys. The group initially joined guitarist Casey Pollock, bassist Chris Schelske, and drummer Jay Nazz. While Schelske and Pollock left the band with time, Nazz is still the drummer for the band. Complementing this was added to the publication of the second studio album David Abeyta, bassist Jimmy McFeeley is already eliminated.

Career

The debut album was released on Reckless Kelly in July 1998, followed in 2000, the live album Acoustic: Live at Stubb's, and The Day. In 2003, the group signed a contract with Sugar Hill Records, which could sustainably establish themselves in the music scene. With Under the Table and Above the Sun for the first time they reached the country charts and was praised by critics. This they succeeded with Wicked Twisted Road, before they were taken for her 2008 published book Bulletproof by Yep Roc Records. With the album for the first time they reached the Billboard 200, also occupied space 14 on the country charts. These successes they could confirm with Somewhere in Time (2010) and Good Luck & True Love (2011 ), as they even made it to number 78 on the Billboard 200
