The Nymph Reads ( Tanysiptera nympha ) is a kingfisher species in New Guinea.
Features
The Nymph Reads reached a size of 23 cm. He has a red beak, a blue forehead, a reddish body and blue-black wings. His long tail feathers - characteristic of a Paradieseisvogel - are bluish.
Occurrence
The habitat of the nymph Liestes are low-lying forest areas in the far west and the north- east of New Guinea. Its diet consists mainly of insects, which it catches on the ground.
