Fan Parrot ( Deroptyus accipitrinus )

The fan Parrot ( Deroptyus accipitrinus ) is a common in pristine lowland rain forests of northern South America Neuweltpapagei. It is found in Colombia, Venezuela, Guyana, Brazil, Ecuador and Peru.

Features

Subjects resemble parrots Amazons and how these are of green color. Named giving feature is a dark red plastic at the spring ends with blue hemming bonnet at the back. Way of life

They usually live in small groups of up to 20 animals. They feed on nuts, fruits, seeds and berries. Their nest they build in old woodpecker holes, where two to four eggs are incubated for 26 days. After nine weeks, the young birds fledge.

Vocalizations
