Red-fronted Macaw

The Red-fronted Macaw (Ara rubrogenys ) is a species of parrot from the genus of authentics macaws (Ara ) in the family of authentics parrots ( Psittacidae ). The specific epithet rubrogenys is composed of the Latin ruber red and for the Greek genys for cheek.

Features

The Red-fronted Macaw reaches a body length of 60 cm and a weight of about 500 g The staining is predominantly olive green, the rump is olive. Distribution and habitat

The Red-fronted Macaw is endemic to a very small distribution area on the eastern slopes of the Andes in south-central Bolivia ago. Way of life
