Biography

Little is known about Sharif Talib Lacey's childhood. However, we know that he played during this time in many plays and came into contact at the age of about eight years for the first time with hip- hop. In high school in Philadelphia Reef had great success in battles against other MCs and soon gained a reputation as one of the best MCs in Philadelphia. Soon after, he received a scholarship to the Philadelphia University of the Arts. In this college he realized his dream of becoming a rapper.

At age 19, he left college and started with said producer Sleep E his first solo project. The resulting album ( The High Life ) with 10 tracks was released in 2002 and opened to him all the doors in the hip-hop business. He started out in local clubs and act quickly with the fans and the media popular.

In February 2003, published Reef his next album with 18 tracks called: Invisible Empire. In the same year he proved his talent with the 1st place in the Mic Check Battle in Philadelphia. Shortly thereafter, he went to Oakland ( California) and took 2nd place in the Blaze Freestyle Battle. Reef put much of his personal and professional experience in his next album, " Feast or Famine " (2005). The album commented the artist with the following words: "This album represents me in my best shape, I know who I am as a person, but rather has become more aware of what I can as an artist, I feel like a pro at the moment. " " The beats are audible than ever and even though this project the songs have become darker, they still have a general incentive with which everyone can get in touch. "

Reef is not only a member of JuJu mobs, but since 2006 an integral part of Army of the Pharaohs.
