Reformed Church in Romania

The Reformed Church in Romania (Hungarian: Romániai Református Egyház, Romanian: România din Biserica Reformata ) is a Reformed Church in Romania. It is present mainly in the Hungarian dominated regions of the country. According to Hungarian is the dominant language of the Church. The majority of municipalities located in Transylvania. According to the census of 2002, known nationwide 698 550 persons or 3.2 % of the population to the Reformed denomination. The church today is in two districts based in Oradea ( for the western Romania) and Cluj ( Transylvania ) divided.

In cooperation with the Unitarian Church of Transylvania and the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Romania (both also predominantly Hungarian embossed) operates the Reformed Church, the Protestant Theological Institute in Cluj-Napoca in north-western Transylvania.

The Reformed Church in Romania is member of the World Communion of Reformed Churches, the Community of Protestant Churches in Europe and the World Council of Churches.
