Reformed Congregations in the Netherlands

The Gereformeerde Gemeenten in Nederland ( German: Reformed churches in the Netherlands ) is a Dutch Church Federation, which belongs to the Reformed churches. It was created in 1953 by splitting off the Gereformeerde Gemeenten ( Reformed churches ). Both local government associations are strictly Calvinist oriented and go back to the Afscheiding of 1834. You will also ( pejoratively ) referred to as Black stockings churches. The social life of their members plays for the most part from each other. It will be mainly in church, school, club and also at work. In the political sphere, many members of the Church select the state Kundig Gereformeerde Partij.

In addition to about 50 z.T. very small communities in the Netherlands are also four municipalities in the U.S. and one in Pretoria to the Union. The respective autonomous communities have joined 24,010 members (January 1, 2013), but employ only four pastors. The association is active in mission together with the Free Presbyterian Church of Scotland in Zimbabwe.
