Reg Grundy

Reginald Roy Grundy (* August 4, 1923 in Sydney Reginald Roy Grundle, short name Reg Grundy ) is one of the most successful entrepreneurs and Australian media and television mogul of his generation.

Life

Reginald Roy Grundy is the only child of Australians Grundlestein Roy and Lillian Lee. Prior to his television career, he served during World War II in the Australian Army and was stationed as a sergeant in Sydney.

In 1960 he founded the Reg Grundy Organisation (now Grundy Light Entertainment ) but was still active as a sports commentator and game show host. After he had set up his own production company, he began producing game shows for the Australian and international market, before joining his company into film production in 1973.

The company subsequently produced numerous successful soap operas for television and so-called " Drama Series ", such as Class of '74, The Restless Years, The Young Doctors, Prisoner, Glenview High, Sons and Daughters and Neighbours, as well as in the 1980 years known NBC game shows Time Machine, Sale of the Century for the American market and Scrabble.
