Regalianus

Publius C ( assius? ) Regalianus was a senator under Emperor Valerian Dux of Illyria, governor of the Roman province of Pannonia superior or inferior or superior or inferior and Moesia usurper against Emperor Gallienus.

Regalianus came, according to the time for this highly unreliable Historia Augusta, supposedly directly from the Dacian king Decebalus from, but this is to be regarded as fiction. After the capture of Valerian by the Sassanids in the year 260 (according to other research, perhaps even 259) is Regalianus exclaimed to the Roman Emperor, but was defeated after a victory over the Sarmatians of Gallienus and killed by his soldiers. There is evidence that he was also involved in the revolt of Ingenuus; but probably he acted independently.

Regalianus also had coins with his name and his wife Sulpicia Dryantilla beat.
