The term Reggio pedagogy, the concept and practice of municipal daycare centers in the Italian city of Reggio Emilia is called.

Concept

This pedagogy is seen as a task for the whole city, which means that other organizations and parents are involved in the education of children. The basic concept of Reggio pedagogy is that the educator / interior work with the strengths and weaknesses of not against the children.

History

The concept was developed in the 1970s under the leadership of the teacher Loris Malaguzzi in the city of Reggio Emilia ( also abbreviated Reggio Emilia called ) developed.
