Regionalliga Südwest
The Football League Southwest is a league in German professional football. She is one of five regional leagues, currently make up the fourth-highest division in the league system in Germany. It will be held under the auspices of the Football Regional Council of Southwest and the South German Football Association, with the exception of the Bavarian Association. The squadron strength currently stands at 19, The Master and the runner-up take part in a promotion round to the 3rd Liga in part - the runner-up because for the promotion round six teams are needed and because in the Regionalliga Southwest currently by all five regional leagues most teams and members are located. From the leagues below the Regionalliga West, there are a total of three climbers: From the top leagues Rheinland-Pfalz/Saar, Hesse and Baden- Württemberg one team rises.

With the reform of 2012, the Regional Regional was increased to five leagues. The five leagues are North, East, West, South West and Bavaria. The champion and the runner-up of the Regionalliga Southwest will take part in the promotion round to the 3rd league. The League will be held by the Regional Football Association West and South German Football Association, with the exception of the Bavarian Association. You now extends across the states of Rhineland -Palatinate, Saarland, Hesse and Baden- Württemberg.
