Register renaming
Register renaming (English register renaming ) denotes a phase of command processing, which occurs mainly in superscalar microprocessors used.
Commonly found in the decode stage (ID) during decoding of a number of commands (typically as many as the maximum bandwidth allocation is ) a renaming of registers instead. Here are referenced in the commands architectural register, so defined in the instruction set, in fact, physically existing register ( or rename buffer register) renamed.
By this procedure, the commands are free of name dependencies.
