Reinhard Roder

Reinhard Roder ( born July 6, 1941 in Clausthal- Zellerfeld ) is a former German football player, football coach and football official.

Career

Roder began his active football career at TSG Clausthal- Zellerfeld. He came over the Goslar SC 08 1964 05 Göttingen, where he has developed in the sixties to an above-average defender of the old Regionalliga Nord. In 1967 he went to the first FC Cologne and played under coach Willi Multhaup eleven league matches. After that he played from 1968 to 1970 two years for Bayer 04 Leverkusen. After ending his playing career, he rose in Göttingen as a coach and managed the team from 1972 to December 1976., He moved in the summer of 1977 to VfL Osnabrück, where he was presented by President Hartwig Piepenbrock with high expectations. On 1 March 1978 he was made redundant due to lack of success. Then he tried again as a coach at Tennis Borussia Berlin, but then switched to the Manager tray. In this role, he had his best time at Bayer 05 Uerdingen, when he led the club together with coach Karl -Heinz Feldkamp for the DFB Cup victory and the UEFA Cup. In 1990 he became the manager job at Hertha BSC, but had to leave prematurely after one and a half, relatively unsuccessful years.
