Reinhold Bocklet

Reinhold Booklet ( born April 5, 1943 in Schongau ) is a German politician ( CSU).

Life

After his graduation Booklet studied law and political science at the Ludwig- Maximilians- University of Munich. From 1976 to 1981 he had there a teaching of Political system theory and was Speaker from 1974 to 1979 at the Bavarian State Office for Political Education, at the time of the Bavarian State Chancellery.

His political career started in Booklet of the Junge Union, whose national board he served from 1973 to 1979. In 1979 he was elected to the European Parliament for the CSU and soon distinguished himself as one of the most important European politician of the CSU. In 1984 he was state chairman of the Working Group on Agriculture of the CSU (until 1995 ) and has been a member of the party executive. In 1993 Booklet in the country's politics and became Minister of State for Food, Agriculture and Forestry. About the District list Upper Bavaria, he was elected in the regional elections in 1994 in the Bavarian parliament. As Minister of State for Federal and European Affairs, he secured since 1998, with its far- reaching contacts and first Vice- President of the Committee of the Regions of the European Union the influence of Bavaria in Brussels and set up a representation of the Free State of Bavaria to the European Union in the former Institut Pasteur.

In the state elections in 2003, he won the direct mandate of the voting circuit 117 Fürstenfeldbruck East with 38 491 first preference votes ( 55.3 %). For reasons of regional proportional representation, he retired from surprising as ministers from the cabinet. In 2004 he was Chairman of the International Commission of the CSU. Between 2003 and 2008 he was a member of Parliament Committees for Economic Affairs, Infrastructure, Transport and Technology and for Federal and European Affairs.

In the state elections in 2008, he defended the direct mandate in his voice circuit with 25 527 first preference votes ( 38.6 %). Since 20 October 2008, he is First Vice President of the Bavarian Parliament.

Reinhold Booklet is married and has a son. Since 2004 he has been admitted to the bar. He is since 1963 member of the Catholic Student Association KDSt.V. Trifels Munich in the CV.
