Reinhold Hilbers

Reinhold Hilbers ( born July 25, 1964 in Lingen ( Ems) ) is a German politician ( CDU) and a member of the parliament of Lower Saxony. He is married and has four children.

After training as a wholesale and foreign trade merchant he did his military service in the Bundeswehr. Then he made his college entrance and then studied Business Administration at the University of Applied Sciences Osnabrück. Since 1999 he has been managing director of Self-Help Nordhorn GmbH.

Member of the CDU, he is since 1988: currently the CDU district association Bentheim. He is a 2003 member of the Landtag Niedersachsen and Chairman of the CDU in the council of the county of Bentheim since March.

2003 Reinhold Hilbers was elected with 72.2 % as a directly elected member of parliament in his constituency 88 Emlichheim. The constituency was merged due to the reorganization and downsizing of the state parliament for the upcoming election to the constituency of Nordhorn. The new constituency Bentheim County includes the city of Nordhorn, the town of Bad Bentheim, the joint communities New house, Schuettorf, Emlichheim and Uelsen. In the state elections in 2008, he obtained a first vote of 55.6 percent in 2013 earnings of 52.75 per cent. From 2009 to 2013 he was a budget spokesman of the CDU faction in the parliament of Lower Saxony. Since 2013 he is there, Deputy Chairman of the Group in the areas of budget, finance and social affairs.
