Reintalanger Hut

The Reintalangerhuette ( 1366 m above sea level. NN ) is a mountain hut in Wettersteingebirge at the end of Reintals. Nearby is the Partnach has its origin. West of the hut of the valley steep rises against the Zugspitzplatt.

The cottage is part of the Munich section of the German Alpine Club and to the administrative district of Garmisch -Partenkirchen. It was built in 1912 and is classified in Category 1. The house has 90 beds and is managed by the end of May to mid-October.

  • From Kreuzeckhaus over the lower Bernadeinweg that Bockhütte and through Reintal ( 4 ½ hours, sure-footedness required)

  • About the Bockhütte to Oberreintalhütte (3 hrs )
  • About the Bockhütte, Oberreintal and Chess House (4 hours) for Meilerhütte (6 hours; required slip resistance )

Climbing routes

  • For climbers, the highest Wettersteinwand, the 1400 meter high Hochwanner North Face offers some possibilities.
