Reliance Capital

Reliance Capital is the financial arm of India's Reliance - Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Group. Owner is the Indian businessman Anil Ambani.

Reliance Capital has a market value of about 962 million euros ( Rs 56 662 million ) (as at 30 September 2007).

The shares are traded on the Bombay Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol 500111 but are not part of India's largest stock exchange index BSE Sensex. A stock cost on 12 February 2008 about 1,700 Indian rupees or 28.80 Euros. In addition, the shares on the National Stock Exchange in Mumbai are traded under the symbol RELCAPITAL, allowances are traded under the number US75945L1035 also on the Luxembourg Stock Exchange. According to the company a little more than half of the shares issued were in the domestic, Indian privately owned, about another quarter was owned by foreign, institutional investors.
