Work and significance

My first influence was Salvador Dalí. Unlike him, their representations of dreams, daydreams and symbols are totally awesome, full of wit and mystery. Your surreal dream - figures stand out in each painting. The nature, alchemy, the supernatural and the woman as the source of sensibility are its main themes. She used primarily in egg tempera technique of the old masters with fine brushwork on self- prepared panels.

2001 her paintings were officially declared by the Mexican government for " national treasure ". Green donated 39 of her works to the " Museo de Arte Moderno ," in Mexico City as a gratitude that the two had found a second home in Mexico can. The paintings can be viewed as a permanent exhibition in the hall " Xavier Villaurrutia " of the museum. Your niece Beatriz Varo Jimenez, demanded entitled to them, but in 2006 they were finally awarded to the Mexican government.
