Rena Inoue

Rena Inoue (Japanese井上 怜 奈, Inoue Rena, born October 17, 1976 in Nishinomiya ) is an American figure skater and pair skater. With her partner John Baldwin, she was 2004 and 2006 U.S. champion in pair skating. The pair Inoue / Baldwin showed the first couple in the world a triple Axel in competition casting.

Biography

Rena Inoue originally started as a single skater and pair skater for Japan as well. Your Japanese partner in pair skating was Tomoaki Koyama. The pair took part in 1992 in the Olympic Games. In 1994, she then took part as an individual runner in the Olympic Winter Games.

Rena Inoue 1998 lung cancer was diagnosed at a very early stage. Thanks to chemotherapy, however it was then cancer free.

Since 2000 she runs together with John Baldwin. The couple starts for the U.S.. In 2005, she was U.S. citizen.

At the U.S. Championships in 2006 Inoue / Baldwin showed the first couple in the world a triple Axel in competition litter and repeated this success at the Olympic Winter Games 2006.

During the bow right after the free skate at the U.S. Championships 2008 Rena Inoue by John Baldwin got a marriage proposal, which she accepted.

Rena Inoue is a professional office staff and lives in Santa Monica, California.
