Renata Salecl

Renata Salecl ( born January 9, 1962 in Slovenj Gradec ) is a Slovenian philosopher and sociologist.

Salecl studied at the University Ljubljana.Sie is still up there, at the Institute of Criminology at the Faculty of Law, hired and also holds a professorship in psychology / psychoanalysis and law at the School of Law from Birkbeck College, University of London. She was a visiting professor at the London School of Economics as well as in New York and Michigan. In Berlin she was a member at the Institute for Advanced Study. She was married to the philosopher Slavoj Žižek.
