Renato Balduzzi

Renato Balduzzi ( born February 12, 1955 in Voghera ) is an Italian jurist and politician. He was on 16 November 2011 to April 28, 2013 Italian health minister in the government of Mario Monti.

Life

Renato Balduzzi graduated 1979 in jurisprudence at the University of Genoa. He was with the work " Il controllo della Corte dei Conti sui sui decree decree-laws e delegati " ( The Court's audit on laws and regulations ) at Lorenzo Acquarone Dr. iur. doctorate. He was 1981-1982 Research assistant in a study of constitutional law at the European Commission in Federico Sanchez from 1985 to 1986 on comparative constitutional law at the University of Paris - Nanterre in Michel Troper. At the Università del Piemonte Orientale, he has been a professor of constitutional law. Since 2008 he has been coordinator of the graduate schools of local autonomies, public services and civil rights ( DRASD; www.drasd.unipmn.it ); since 2007 director of the Centro di Servizi per il di eccellenza interfacoltà management sanitario ( CEIMS; www.ceims.unipmn.it ).

Work

He was legal adviser to the Ministry of Defence (1989-1992), Ministry of Health (1996-2000) and Family Affairs (2006-2008). From 1997 to 1999 he was head of the office of the Ministry of Health. In addition, he has held the chair of the Inter-Ministerial Committee on Health Care Reform. Since 2009 he has been Chairman of the Evaluation of the University Hospital " Maggiore of Charity " in Novara and since 2006 Chairman of the Steering Committee of the University Hospital Policlinico St. Orsola Malpighi - Hospital, Bologna. He is since 2007 President of the Age.Na.S. - Agenzia Nazionale per i Servizi Sanitari regionalization.

From 2002 to 2009 he was president of the Catholic Movimento di Ecclesiale Impegno Culturale ( MEIC ) and currently represents the interests at Pax Romana ICMICA.

Renato Balduzzi is a member of several Scientific Advisory Boards of journals. Since 2003 he is head of the bi-monthly published magazine Coscienza. From 1989 to 1992 he edited the cultural magazine Nuova politeia.
