Renauld I, Count of Nevers

Rainald I. ( Renaud I. ) (* 1100, † May 29, 1040 at Seignelay_ (Yonne ) ) out of the house Monceaux was from 1028, Count of Nevers.

He was the son of the Earl Landry of Nevers and Mathilde of Burgundy, daughter of the Count Palatine Otto William of Burgundy.

He married shortly after the January 25, 1016 (Gregorian calendar ) Adele of France ( probably * 1003, † June 5 after 1063 ), the eldest daughter of King Robert II of France, which given the county Auxerre as dowry been.

Rainald was killed in a battle against Duke Robert I of Burgundy and buried in the Abbey of Saint -Germain in Auxerre.
