René Benko

René Benko ( born May 20, 1977 in Innsbruck, Tyrol) is an Austrian entrepreneur and founder of Signa Holding GmbH. Benko is internationally established as a real estate investor. According to various business magazines, he is one of the 50 richest Austrians. On June 18, 2013, Benko withdrew from the operational management of Signa Holding GmbH and took over the chairmanship of the Advisory Board of the signaling group.

Life

René Benko was born the son of a local authority employees and an educator in Innsbruck and attended the Commercial and Business Academy. At the age of 17 he left school, he was already an entrepreneur.

René Benko is married and has three children.

Awards

In 2011, Benko was named by the Tyrolean Governor Günther Platter for Tyrolean of the year and by the Austrian business magazine Trend Man of the Year.

On 17 November 2011 the property price, Caesar was awarded to René Benko as property manager of the year.

Method

On November 2, 2012 Benko was sentenced on Regional Court of Vienna together with the tax consultant Michael Passer "attempting to illegally intervention " to a conditional sentence of one year. Passer should therefore have the former Croatian Prime Minister Ivo Sanader contacted and offered him 150,000 euros to influence a pending process in Italy in their favor.

On August 13, 2013, the Higher Regional Court of Vienna confirmed on appeal the judgment of the lower court. René Benko has announced the filing of a complaint with the perception highest authority, the Supreme Court.
