René Le Bègue

René Le Begue ( born January 15, 1914 in Paris, † February 24, 1946 ) was a French racing driver.

Since the French Grand Prix cars could not keep up with the silver arrows in the 1930s, tried many pilots closer to sports car racing their luck, including René Le Begue. His career began in 1936 Delahaye, and he has also seen some success. He won the 12 - hour race in Paris in 1938 and the "Coup de Vitesse " in Montlhery 1938. On a Talbot, he reached the GP of France in 1939 to third place.

During World War II he fought in the French army and then wanted to continue his racing career when he died of carbon monoxide poisoning from a faulty boiler.
