René Rapin

René Rapin (* 1621 in Tours, † October 27th 1687 in Paris) was a French Jesuit and scholar.

Rapin occurred in 1639 in the Society of Jesus. He taught at Jesuit schools classical literature and rhetoric, wrote poetic and literary theory works and kept up a correspondence with the French general and memoirist Roger de Bussy- Rabutin.
