Renée Friedman

Renée Friedman is an American Egyptologist.

Biography

Renée Friedman studied at the University of California at Berkeley Egyptology. She received her PhD in 1994. Their thesis she wrote about Predynastic settlement ceramics from Naga ed- Deir and Hierakonpolis. Overwhelmed by the richness of the predynastic Hierakonpolis she became a member of the Hierakonpolis Expedition under Fred Harlan and 1996 the Deputy Director. Since 1996 she has worked as a curator at the British Museum.
