Republic of Ireland women's national football team
The Irish national soccer team of women representing Ireland in international women's football. The national team is responsible to the Irish Football Association. To date, the Irish selection could not qualify for a World or European Championships. The best known player is the goalkeeper Emma Byrne from Arsenal London. In the FIFA world rankings, the team ended in December 2008, March 2009 and June 2009 with number 27 the best placement.

Algarve Cup
The national team participated in five sweeps of the Algarve Cup, each year participate in the almost all of the best women's national teams. The team played always in group C, in the play the weaker teams and could never qualify for a placement game against one of the teams from Group A or B.
Cyprus Cup
2013 the team took part in the first taking place in parallel Cyprus Cup.
