Research Studios Austria

The Research Studios Austria Gesellschaft mbH (RSA FG) is a nonprofit research organization in the fields of eTechnologies and SmartMedia. Five research units (studios ) at four sites in Austria (Vienna, Linz, Salzburg, Innsbruck) develop, in cooperation with universities and colleges research synergies.

The company and its studios work in applied research and development with a specific sequence methodology and organization, based on the process of rapid Prototypsierens and the specific research approach "Modular Iterative Re - framing -MIR ".

The company and its studios operate contract research for the private and public sectors and apply for competitive national and European research funding according to the excellence principle. The RSA FG receives partial funding for independent research in the studios of the Austrian Ministry of Science.

History

Research Studios Austria were established in 2003 and were up to their spin-off in the spring of 2008, part of the Austrian Institute of Technology (AIT ) - the former Austrian Research Centers ( ARC). In April 2008, were spun off as an independent establishment as a non -profit GmbH, Research Studios Austria. The RSA FG is at the 100 % - owned by the Austrian Society of innovation economics and new technologies.
