Réseau Breton

The Réseau Breton, abbreviated RB, was a narrow gauge narrow gauge railway in Brittany. It extended to the town of Carhaix -Plouguer and until 1967 was in operation. The maximum extent was about 425 km. Except for the vice sprint distances Guingamp, Guingamp and Carhaix - Paimpol (now standard gauge ) all other parts of the Réseau Breton have been converted to bus operation. As the only preserved locally narrow-gauge steam locomotive of the network, the locomotive E 415 of the Mallet design stands as a monument at Carhaix station. Otherwise only remember the station and the route remains as well as some vehicles at heritage railways in the Réseau Breton, which was one of the largest narrow gauge networks in France.
