Reshad Feild

Reshad Feild, Richard Timothy Feild bourgeois ( born April 15, 1934) is a British mystic, writer and musician. He is primarily known for his books about a universal perspective of Sufism, with whom he has won a wide following in the Western world.

Career

Strongly influenced Reshad Feild was by the teachings of Georges I. Gurdjieff and PD Ouspensky, moreover, he was very interested in Tibetan Buddhism. With extensive travels through India, America and Europe he met Tibetan lamas, North American shamans and finally to various Sufi masters, of which a sheikh of the Mevlevi Tariqa from Konya for many years was to be his spiritual teacher.
