RESOL

Resol ( officially completely RESOL - Electronic regulations Ltd.) is a company of solar thermal industry based in Hattingen. It primarily manufactures controllers for solar thermal systems, but also for conventional heating systems. These come complete stations for solar systems, fresh water stations as well as additional modules and various accessories. The company is 100 % owned by the founder Rudolf arrow.

History

The company was founded in Hattingen in 1977 and started the construction of solar controllers in the private rooms of the founder. After a few years the company moved into the neighboring Sprockhövel, 1998, a new building in the industrial area Ludwigstal II was based in Hattingen - Holthausen. Followed in 2007, another new building in mid-2009 was an extension to the first factory opened. The total area is now 6600 square meters.

Resol currently has 160 employees, the total turnover in 2008 was EUR 29 million (as of 2009).

Growth through process management

In the 32 years since the founding resole from small businesses to the world market leader (Source: Sun & Wind Energy Market Overview, Issue 2 /2007) grown with 160 employees. Especially in recent years attracted the growth enormously, leading to a record breaking sales growth of nearly 80 % in 2008.

This development was made possible by an intense process management, which was first implemented in 2005. With the help of a consulting firm devoted to the conversion has prescribed on a synchronous production system based on the Toyota Production System, the manufacturing department was changed from a factory to an efficient and flexible processing industry operation. Process chains were streamlined, workplace layout changed radically and the lead times thus greatly reduced. Since the introduction of synchronized production system, the turnover of resol has more than quadrupled.

Locations

Research, development, production and administration take place in Hattingen at the main site.

Resol has its own subsidiaries in France and Spain, and offices in the UK, Sweden and Bulgaria. Authorized dealers sell resole products in Poland, Czech Republic, Russia, the Netherlands, Portugal, Jordan, Iran, the United Arab Emirates, the U.S., Canada and Japan.

Due to numerous strategic partnerships with companies selling resole products under their own name as OEM customers, the regulator of the Hattinger company can be found worldwide in over 50 countries today.

Awards

For outstanding commitment to the production and use of solar energy initiative " Solar companies 2001 " Resol awarded in 2000 the title of " solar companies 2000 ".

In 2001 the company was awarded the IF Design Award for the FlowCon Pro. In 2008, the award went again to resole this time for the FlowCon D.

The FlowCon Pro also received the Design Plus Award at the ISH.

Different resol products received over the years, the Red Dot Design Award by the Design Zentrum Nordrhein Westfalen, such as the solar controller RS600 and MIDI DeltaSol A and the FlowCon S.

At the Munich Intersolar trade fair in May 2009, the newly developed sensor FlowCon received by Resol the Intersolar Award in the category solar thermal.
