Restored Reformed Church

The Restored Reformed Church ( Dutch: Hervormde Kerk Hersteld, HHK ) is a Dutch Church Federation, which belongs to the Reformed churches. The young Church seceded from the Protestant Church in the Netherlands, after they had developed in May 2004 by the merger of the Dutch Reformed Church, the Gereformeerde Kerken in Nederland and the Evangelical Lutheran Church in the Kingdom of the Netherlands. Many members of the Orthodox Church within organizations such as the Gereformeerde Bond in de Nederlands Hervormde Kerk and Gekrookte Riet felt the merger with the Lutherans as a violation of Calvinism and split from the new church. Later, these split-off communities merged to form a new church federation: the Restored Reformed Church.
