Revolver (magazine)

Revolver is an American music magazine that specializes in the music category Rock and Heavy Metal. The Revolver Magazine is since the spring of 2000 in print and was initially a magazine that focused on the mainstream. It is structured similarly to Spin Magazine.

The magazine published among other publications and tour announcements, record reviews, charts and a column by Vinnie Paul of Pantera. The column currently suspended. This was an attack on the group Damageplan Dimebag Darrell in which his brothers was killed. Meanwhile, the column was expanded and Lizzy Hale of Halestorm working alongside their band activities for the magazine.

Also, the magazine puts a focus on the underground scene and reported on newcomer groups from around the world that did not run on music channels such as MTV. Since 2009, the magazine gives its own music award, the Revolver Golden Gods Awards, which with the Kerrang! Awards and the Metal Hammer Awards is comparable. 28 May 2011 Chris Jericho performed the ceremony.

The magazine was printed by Harris Publications for the first time, in 2006 the rights to Future U.S. were resold. 2012 followed by a further sale. Since then, NewBay Media is the publisher of the magazine. In the U.S., the magazine has a print run of 150,000 copies. It is published every two months. Current editor in chief Brandon spirit.
