Rewa FC

Rewa FC is a Fijian football team that plays in the Football League Fiji, the National Football League. The club plays in the Vodafone Ratu Cakobau Park Nausori.

History

The first league game was played in 1928, even if football had been known since 1916. In 1928, the two teams from Rewa, Rewa FC and Dilkusha Excelsior FC participated in the Indian Reform League. Dilkusha cashed the vriddhi Cup and defended it in the next two years. From 1931 to 1936 Rewa FC took part in the Fletcher Challenge Cup. 1937 Rewa Football Association was founded. The Rewa Association in 1938, was a founding member of the Fiji Indian Football Association, which in 1961 the Fiji Football Association was. Rewa won the first Inter- District Championship, the most important competition for football clubs in Fiji. This they defended in 1939. Rewa The Assocaition currently consists of 42 clubs, the Rewa FC won the Battle of the Giants Tournament won in 2003 and 2004.
