Rhythm guitar
The rhythm guitarist is the musician in a band that plays the rhythm and accompaniment with guitar. Was developed division of labor between solo and rhythm guitarist in the Quintette du Hot Club de France during the 1930s.
On the rhythm guitar rhythmic chord accompaniments only to be played while the lead guitar plays the melody lines and the electric bass takes over the bass accompaniment. Rhythmic chord playing is an essential part of the music, which has no subordinate role for soloing. Often the rhythm guitar is also adopted by the singer, such as in Bon Jovi (Jon Bon Jovi ), Metallica ( James Hetfield ) or Nickelback ( Chad Kroeger ).
