Riblja ÄŒorba

Riblja čorba ( German translation: fish soup, in Belgrade slang, the term was in the 80s for menstruation) is a Serbian and former Yugoslav rock band.

History

The band was founded on August 15, 1978 by Bora Djordjevic (vocals), Misa Aleksic ( bass), Miroslav Milatović (drums) and Rajko Kojić ( guitar). A year later, Momcilo Bajagić Bajaga joined the band. The band was one of the most famous bands in the former Yugoslavia in a very short time. Their first album Kost u grlu ( fish bone in the throat ) was recorded in 1979 and sold approximately 120,000 times.

At a sad incident occurred in 1982 in Zagreb at a concert titled Ko preživi - pričaće ( Those who survive will tell them ). In a designed for 10,000 people hall 15,000 spectators arrived. At the end of the concert, the 14 -year-old Željka Marković was trampled to death in the crowd. One of their biggest concerts took place in the Beogradska Arena on March 10, 2007. In 1984, the band parted ways Rajko Kojić and Momcilo Bajagić Bajaga.

2004 Bora Djordjevic was appointed as a member of the Democratic Party of Serbia, Assistant to the Minister of Education.
