Riccardo Tisci

Riccardo Tisci ( born August 8, 1974 in Taranto, Puglia, Italy) is an Italian fashion designer.

Life

Tisci grew up with eight siblings near Como in Northern Italy, and went at the age of 17 years to London, where in 1999 he his studies at the Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design graduating. In the following years he worked for various companies such as Puma before he was three years tatig for the Italian company Ruffo Research. In July 2004 he started his own company, whose collection at Milan Fashion Week was shown in 2005/2006. He was creative director of Givenchy in 2005.

Since 2008, Tisci 's designs include the costumes of the U.S. singer Madonna. In the same year he designed an output for A Magazine, followed in 2011 by an issue of Visionaire. For the singer Kanye West and Jay -Z, he designed the cover (cover ) for Watch the Throne, as well as for the label GOOD Music and their album Cruel Summer.

Tisci since his time before Givenchy friends with the Italian model Mariacarla Boscono, who often is seen in his campaigns. In 2013 he designed the costumes for a Balettaufführung of Boléro by Maurice Ravel in the Paris Opera Garnier in collaboration with the Serbian artist Marina Abramovic, which was staged by the Belgian choreographer Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui and Damien Jalet.
