Richard Anthony Hewson

Richard Anthony Hewson ( born November 17, 1943 in Stockton -on-Tees, England) is a producer, arranger and multi-instrumentalist, whose most famous project was the RAH band.

Hewson began in the late 1960s as an arranger and has worked with stars such as James Taylor, Herbie Hancock, Supertramp, Diana Ross, Carly Simon, Art Garfunkel, Leo Sayer, Al Stewart, Chris de Burgh, Fleetwood Mac, and Chris Rea. In addition to his project "The RAH Band", he worked in the 1980s as a producer for Toyah Willcox, Five Star, and Shakin 'Stevens. Today Hewson writes music for TV and commercials.

The RAH band

The RAH band was a studio project. RAH stands for the initials of the musician Richard Anthony Hewson. 1977 Hewson wrote the instrumental The Crunch, which rose in August 1977 and ranked No. 6 in the British charts. In Germany the number was known primarily as a recognition of popular music WDR radio broadcast " hit rally". Another well-known piece is Electric Fling from the year 1978. 1985 came the RAH band again in the top 10 of the UK singles chart. The soul ballad Clouds Across The Moon, which began Hewson with his wife, took 6th place in April 1985 in the UK and # 1 in Australia.
