Richard Coyle

Richard Coyle ( born February 27, 1972 in Sheffield, South Yorkshire, England ) is a British actor. He has been active since 1998 in the film and television industry.

Life

Richard Coyle was born in 1972 in Sheffield. While studying politics at York University, he began his acting career by playing several small roles. His first major roles he got in 1998 in the television films Macbeth and The Life and Crimes of William Palmer. He played through multiple roles, until he in 2000 in the internationally famous sitcom Coupling - Who with whom? in the role of Jeff Murdock was much talked about. In the fantasy drama Strange he got the title role. In 2006 he played the role of Americans in a good year. In May 2010, Coyle was in the movie Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time can be seen as Crown Prince Tus and also played the lead role in the film adaptation of the novel From the post by Terry Pratchett as a fountain of Lipwig. In 2011 he took over the role of William Winthrop in the British film drama WE and was 2012 for seven episodes of the U.S. crime series Covert Affairs as Simon Fischer on camera.

In August 2004 he married his girlfriend Georgia Mackenzie, who he met on the set of the film Up Rising. In the same year he left the Coupling team.
