Richard Dawkins Foundation for Reason and Science

The Richard Dawkins Foundation for Reason and Science ( RDFRS or RDF), on German Richard Dawkins Foundation for Reason and Science, is a non-profit organization that was founded in 2006 by the Biology Professor Richard Dawkins and feels committed to secularism. Chairman are Richard Dawkins and Claire Enders in the United Kingdom and Edwina Rogers ( Managing Director) and J. Anderson Thomson ( Supervisor) in the USA.

The RDFRS intends to finance, among other research, which will examine the psychological background of irrational belief and religion. She also wants to make education and awareness work and stand against the attempts of creationist circles, introduce Intelligent Design in the classroom. Furthermore, the Foundation seeks to maintain a high quality website and support other humanist organizations.

The RDFRS describes its mission as promoting critical thinking, scientific education, and evidence- based understanding of the universe. They want to overcome religious fundamentalism, according to letter of intent, superstition, intolerance and human suffering.
