Richard Girulatis

Richard Girulatis (* August 21, 1878, † May 12, 1963 ) was a German football coach.

Girulatis talked 1903-1908 repeated in the USA, but worked in the semi-finals of the German Cup in 1905 as a player on the team from Union 92 Berlin, which went on to win the title. Finally returned to Germany, he took over at the same club, whose founders he counts the post of coach. In 1912, he became not only the first coach at Tennis Borussia Berlin, but ventured one of the first Germans in the heavily dominated English football expert business of the football coach. To be allowed to take over the volunteer team staff, Girulatis had to join the association and pay regular contributions.

His work as a trainer at Tennis Borussia Berlin he finished Founded in 1920, the German College of Physical Education due to a vocation. Girulatis created the first educational film for the DFB. In 1919 he published the first textbook football in Germany: " football theory, technique, tactics. " ( III Sports Publishing, 128 pages.). Later he worked at Hamburger SV and Hertha BSC as a football coach. 1957 appointed the Association of Berlin ballgame clubs ( VBB) him to one of his honorary members.
