Richard P. Lifton
Richard Priestley Lifton is an American geneticist and nephrologist and Sterling Professor at Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut.
Lifton was able to identify the different genes for increased (arterial hypertension) or low (arterial hypotension) blood pressure are responsible, where they interfere with the kidney salt balance of man.
Life
Lifton earned a bachelor's degree from Dartmouth College in Life Sciences, 1982 a MD and 1986, a Ph.D. at Stanford University in Stanford, California. He is Sterling Professor of Medicine and Genetics at Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut. He also conducts research for the Howard Hughes Medical Institute.
