Richard-Strauss-Straße (Munich U-Bahn)
The underground station Richard - Strauss-Straße is a station of the Munich U -Bahn. It was opened on 27 October 1988. He is one of the few stations with side platforms.
Since the ceiling above the platforms made of concrete and is poorly lit, it looks bleak. The ceiling above the platforms is bent from aluminum fins and the tracks down what the light bands are attached. The walls are made of stone slabs, but do not reflect light, and the columns are made of concrete. The floor is covered with coarse Isarkiesel motif. At the southern end of rolling and fixed stairs lead to a lock floor and on to the Richard -Strauss -Straße. At the other end, guests will reach even a lift a lock floor and further also the Richard -Strauss -Straße. The entrance to the intersection Denninger / Richard - Strauss-Straße was demolished during the construction of the Richard -Strauss- Tunnel, which can be seen at the different color of the wall covering.
