Ricky Schroder

Richard Bartlett, Ricky Schroder ( born April 13, 1970 in Staten Iceland, New York, NY) is an American actor, director, screenwriter, producer and former child star ( Little Lord Fauntleroy ).

Life and work

Schroder was born the son of Richard and Diane Schroder in Staten Iceland. At the age of nine he made ​​his screen debut in the film The Champ. For this role he was in 1980 awarded the Golden Globe for Best Newcomer. In the same year he had his international breakthrough as a child actor. In the role of the little Lord Fauntleroy in the film Little Lord he is still every year at Christmas alongside Sir Alec Guinness to see on TV.

Schroders paternal grandparents are from near Hamburg. They emigrated in the 1940s from the United States. Schroder is married to Andrea Bernard since 26 September 1992. Both have four children together. The family either living on their ranch in Topanga, California, or in their home near Scottsdale, Arizona.

Schroder has an older sister named Dawn, who works as a model and as an actress. He is a member of the National Rifle Association. After Schroder had changed his first name from Ricky to Rick at the age of about 19 years, he announced in the talk show Larry King on 9 January 2007 that it would occur from now on again under the name Ricky Schroder.
